Windsor High School students head for USA!
Ten students from Windsor High School will be embarking on a journey to the United States as part of the G'Day USA tour in January 2014. The students, who are from years 9 to 12, will arrive in Los Angeles then visit San Francisco before travelling to Seattle where they will be hosted by an American family. During this time the students will go to an American school and participate in activities generally undertaken by their host family.
Students involved include Brittany, Jada, Laney, Ashley, Mariah, Sheyanne, Samantha, Jorja, Rhiannon, Jearnah and Mr Mudiman as Group Leader. The students have spent a lot of time fundraising this year to provide the extra funds required to participate in a range activities including theme parks, tours and skiing. The group also meet each Friday for lunch enabling them to talk about the impending trip and to build relationships required to support each other on such a trip. For many of the students this will be their first trip out of the country. The students are all very excited and nervous at the same time and for many of them can't wait to meet their American families and experience the cold and snow of Seattle.
