Work Placement

Students studying VET Entertainment are required to complete a total of 70 hours of work placement outside of their usual school time.

Work placement is a valuable opportunity for students to get hands on experience working within the field, form relationships with industry professionals and develop relevant technical and vocational competences within a real life context.

The Entertainment students become the Technical Support crew at Windsor  High School, responsible for the production of live sound, lighting and staging at a wide variety of after school events including performance nights for Music and Drama, and formal assemblies including Presentation Night. Participation in these events by students can count to work placement hours and form a valuable part of their training in the course.
