Technology (Mandatory) develops in students an understanding of design and design processes and the technologies that can be employed to produce creative and innovative solutions to identified needs. It enables students to select and use materials, tools and techniques in a responsible and safe manner.

Elective - Information Software and Technology
The aim of the Information and Software Technology Years 7–10 Syllabus is to develop students' knowledge and understanding, confidence and creativity in analysing, designing, developing and evaluating information and software technology solutions.
Stage 6
Information Software and Technology
The Information Processes and Technology Stage 6 course, teaches students about information-based systems. It covers the processes of collecting, organising, analysing, storing and retrieving, processing, transmitting and receiving, and displaying, as well as the technologies that support them.
Software Design and Development
The Software Design and Development Stage 6 Syllabus is designed to develop in students the knowledge, understanding, skills and values to solve problems through the creation of software solutions.
